Pittsfield union president arrested in Florida

The president of the Pittsfield Federation of School Employees is facing criminal charges in Florida.

Sandra Amburn was arrested and charged with battery of a member of law enforcement at a retirement community near Orlando.

Amburn calls it a misunderstanding that will be cleared up in court.

She is accused of touching a sheriff’s deputy multiple times. The deputy’s report describes Amburn as being intoxicated and aggressive at the time.
