An Albany man is accused of possessing child pornography.

Garrett A. Lynch, 34, had images consistent with child exploitation, State Police said. His arrest followed a search of his home on Wednesday after police received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Lynch was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child. He was sent to Albany County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.

While searching the home that Lynch shares with 32-year-old James D. Warner, police said troopers found felony-weight narcotics and multiple controlled substances in his area of the residence. Warner was charged with seven counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was released on his own recognizance.
