An Albany woman has now confessed to fatally stabbing a 74-year-old man on Saturday, according to court documents.

Vanesia Brundage, 40, stabbed Charles Gaddy in the chest on early Saturday afternoon inside 182 N. Lake Ave., Apt. 1.

Police have not stated the relationship between Brundage and Gaddy, but court paperwork listed they have the same address. Another person who lives at the apartment witnessed the crime, according to the documents.

Brundage left the scene but was found around Second and Judson streets a short time later.

Police reviewed surveillance footage and recovered the murder weapon, they said.

Brundage remains in Albany County Jail.
