Police: Amsterdam woman stabbed man in chest

An Amsterdam woman is accused of stabbing a man in the chest.

Mikayla R. Noack, 27, allegedly assaulted the man with a kitchen knife during an argument at their residence at 48 Schuyler St. on Saturday at around 4 p.m., Amsterdam Police said.

The victim was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital and later transported to Albany Medical Center for further treatment. He has since been released.

Noack was charged with felony counts of second-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

Noack was sent to Montgomery County Jail in lieu of bail.
