Police: Bennington County man assaulted family member

A 28-year-old Bennington County man is facing charges following a domestic incident.

Trevor M. Beliveau, of Pownal, is accused of assaulting a family member and causing them pain, Vermont State Police said. The incident happened on Friday at about 11:30 p.m. at a residence on Puddingstone Road.

During the arrest, Beliveau also allegedly struggled with police before being placed into a crusier.

He was charged with assault and resisting arrest. He was released and is due in Vermont Superior Court Bennington Criminal Division on Dec. 26 at 12:30 p.m.
