Police: Bennington man arrested for DUI
Vermont State Police say 65-year-old Paul Terwilliger was arrested on Friday night for driving under the influence and operation after suspension.
Police were notified around 6 p.m. of a possible intoxicated driver in the area of US Route 7 near Raymond Road in Mount Tabor, VT.
State Police say they observed several signs of impairment when they stopped Terwilliger.
He was arrested for DUI and operation after suspension, said police.
Authorities say Terwilliger also had an active warrant out.
Police say Terwilliger was taken into custody, taken to Rutland Barracks for processing, and lodged at Marble Valley for lack of bail.
He is cited to appear at Rutland Superior Court on September 16.
