Police: Berkshire County man had nearly $17,000 worth of cocaine

A Berkshire County man is accused of possessing $16,618 worth of cocaine.

Jonah Christianson, 28, was arrested after a search of his home at 47 Grove Street in Great Barrington. Police found about 146 grams of cocaine with the residence and $1,868 in cash, according to police.

Officers also found a $150 prepaid debit card, cellphone and a scale, they said.

Christianson was charged with trafficking cocaine and distribution of a Class B substance. He was arraigned on Friday and held on $50,000 bond.

Police also arrested Kostantin Benson, 21, after officers saw him walking up Christianson’s driveway, they said. Christianson then allegedly came out of the residence and met with Benson at the back door. Benson then walked back down the driveway and away from the house.

He allegedly had a bag of a white powdery substance in his pocket that was identified as cocaine.

He was charged with possession of a Class B substance.
