Michael Caropreso was the target of a larger investigation into drug trafficking in the area, according to the Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office.
When police asked him to step out of the Uber, they found bags of cocaine, along with a 9mm handgun, 9mm Glock magazine, Eight 9mm rounds, a digital scale with white powder residue, two cellular devices and $602 in cash, they said.
One of the guns was determined to be a ghost gun, investigators said.
Caropreso is facing weapons and drug charges. He was sent to jail on $100,000 cash bail.
A hearing is scheduled for April 11.
