Police chase leads to North Greenbush power outage

A man was sent to jail after leading police on a chase that caused a power outage in North Greenbush over the weekend.

Logan Swedick, 28, attacked two women multiple times early Sunday morning at a home at 52 Troy Avenue, said police.

Police arrived on the scene around 3:30, when they say they found Swedick trying to drive away. He rammed into a patrol cruiser before leading police on a brief chase, they said. That chase ended with Swedick crashing into a utility pole, sheering it in half, and knocked out power for several hours in the area.

Swedick is expected to appear in court later this week.
