Police: Clifton Park man kicked victim unconscious

A Clifton Park man allegedly kicked a person until they became unconscious.

The victim walked into the State Police station in Clifton Park just before 11 a.m. on Oct. 11 reporting the assault, telling police that Malik L. Simms, 19, approached and kicked them, State Police said.

Simms knew the victim, who was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Troopers found Simms walking near the incident and arrested him. Simms allegedly resisted arrest and gave false identifying information.

He was charged with third-degree assault, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and false personation. He was released on an appearance ticket and due in Clifton Park Town Court on Oct. 24.
