Man accused of robbing two people at gunpoint

Bryce Carpenter, 21, allegedly displayed a gun and stole the victim’s cell phones. He then fled the area. Carpenter was quickly identified as the suspect as he knew one of the victims.

A Cohoes man is accused of robbing two people at gunpoint.

The victims told police that they agreed to meet the suspect in a parking lot off Manor Avenue at around 2:30 a.m. on Monday. Bryce Carpenter, 21, allegedly displayed a gun and stole the victim’s cell phones. He then fled the area. Carpenter was quickly identified as the suspect as he knew one of the victims.

Police found the stolen items during a search of a Manor Avenue address.

Carpenter was charged with two counts of second-degree robbery, two counts of criminal use of a firearm, grand larceny, two counts of menacing and petit larceny.

He was arraigned in Cohoes City Court sent to Albany County Jail.
