Police: Columbia County man choked person

A Columbia County man is accused of choking a person during a domestic incident, last Friday.

Shane A. Morris, 39, of Valatie, allegedly obstructed the person’s breathing, and damaged property worth more than $250, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. It happened around 6:30 p.m.

Morris was charged with criminal mischief and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation. He was arraigned in Ballston Town Court and released. He also faces another criminal mischief charge in connection with a separate incident.
