Police: Duanesburg woman struck person with boxcutter

State Police have arrested a Duanesburg woman for allegedly assaulting a person with a boxcutter.

Troopers responded to the area of Plank Road in Clifton Park just after 2 p.m. on Wednesday for a report of a dispute in a vehicle. The investigation determined that Tara M. Mariano, 38, displayed the weapon and injured the person.

The victim had minor injuries and escaped the vehicle.

Mariano was located driving the vehicle on Clifton Country Road. She was arrested and charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon. She was arraigned in Clifton Park Town Court and released on her own recognizance.
