Police: Greene County man shot woman in pelvic area
A Greene County man is facing an attempted murder charge for allegedly shooting a woman in her pelvic area.
Police responded to a call for a domestic incident on King Hill Road at around 6:15 p.m. on Sunday in the town of Greenville. The victim, 32, reported she had been shot, according to the Greene County District Attorney’s Office.
Upon arrival, deputies found the victim outside the residence with a gunshot wound to her pelvic area, police said. They applied a tourniquet and carried her to a patrol car for transport to a landing zone. The victim was turned over to the care of Greene County ES and LifeNet to be flown to Albany Medical Center. She went emergency surgery and is currently in stable condition.
Sean Davis, 63, was arrested on scene without incident. He has been charged with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault and criminal use of a firearm. Davis was arraigned in Coxsackie Town Court and sent without bail to Greene County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing and more charges in the investigation.
