Police: Hudson woman robbed, attacked disabled elderly woman with a stick

A 34-year-old Hudson woman arrested nine times in the last 6 months is now accused of robbing a disabled senior citizen and chasing her with a large stick.

Michelle L. Moskaluk is facing charges of robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and menacing.

The Hudson Police Department responded to a business on the 200 block of Warren Street on Oct. 5 at about 6 p.m. for a report of a woman, later identified as Moskaluk, chasing and attacking people with a weapon that appeared to be a broom or a stick.

Officers observed Moskaluk swinging that same item at the woman several times, police said. Moskaluk fled the area when police arrived. The victim reported that Moskaluk attacked her, pushed her to the ground and stole $100 from her purse.

The victim declined medical treatment.  

Officers located her a short time later in the 7^th Street Park. Moskaluk was arrested sent to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash, $10,00 bond or $20,000 partially secured bond. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for today.

The Hudson Police Department said that Moskaluk is a troubled individual in need of assistance and urges the community to use caution if she approaches them. Her attacks are unprovoked and after she has solicited for money for drugs.

Police said her nine arrests do not include arrests from other agencies or ones where she was not taken into custody.
