Police: Illegal guns found in Albany during stolen car investigation
An Albany man is facing several charges after police say he had a stolen vehicle, and an illegal weapon.
Police stopped James Ford, 50, just before 11 p.m. Sunday evening in the 400 block of South Pearl Street. That’s near Centrotherm Eco Systems.
This was in connection to a stolen vehicle investigation.
Ford had an illegal handgun and a loaded rifle in the passenger seat, police said.
He is now facing several charges – including weapons possession and stolen property.
He was sent to Albany County Jail.
