Police investigate drowning in Washington County

State Police are investigating a drowning in Washington County.

Marc Luther, of Wilton, went fishing in a kayak on Clark Pond in Jackson on Sunday, police said. When he didn’t come home, police were contacted.

They found Luther’s empty kayak. The underwater recovery team later found Luther’s body in the water. He was 61.

The investigation is ongoing, but police said it appears to be an accident.
