Police investigate threat made against Washington County courthouse

Police are investigating a threat made against the Washington County courthouse.

Washington County Sheriff’s Capt. Anthony LeClaire said that a third party reported overhearing a comment made by a person threatening the courthouse and reported it to police.

The person who made the threat does not live in the state, according to LeClaire. Police are not releasing more details at this time as the matter is under investigation.

A source tells NewsChannel 13 that a man had threatened to shoot up courthouse and harm a judge.
