Police investigating after bomb scare at SPAC Saturday night

SPAC was set to host a Noel Gallagher concert but was abruptly cancelled at the last minute after a bomb threat Saturday evening.

Out of an abundance of caution, the concert was suspended at 9:40 p.m. and concert attendees were evacuated, the New York State Park Police said.

The venue was closed and a k9 search of the place was completed, but ultimately nothing was found.

“The safety and security of our guests, staff, and performers, is our utmost priority. We are grateful for the collaborative effort among Live Nation staff, the state park police, state police, county and city police, and sheriff teams for their professionalism, vigilance, and continued attention to security measures at our venue,” SPAC President & CEO Elizabeth Sobol said.

No arrest has been made but it’s still an open investigation right now.

The authorities are looking into a possible suspect.
