Police: Lake George man stole U-Haul van

Police have arrested a Lake George man for allegedly stealing a U-Haul van.
Peter M. Morales, 47, was observed by a patrol officer on Sept. 7 operating the vehicle that had been reported stolen, according to a news release. When the officer approached Morales, he is accused of fleeing south on Route 9N toward Lake Luzerne.
Police eventually found the van unoccupied on Dunkley Road in Lake Luzerne. Morales was later located at a residence on that road and taken into custody without incident.
He was charged on Sept. 14 with criminal possession of stolen property and resisting arrest.
Morales was arraigned in Lake George Town Court and sent to the Warren County Correctional Facility.
