Police: Man entered Wilton home, assaulted resident

A Greenwich man is accused of assaulting a person during a home invasion.

Timothy J. Fedler, 37, allegedly went to a Wilton home just before 6 p.m., hit the person inside several times and damaged property, State Police said.

Fedler and the victim didn’t know each other, police said.

A child under 17 was in the home at the time, police said.

Fedler left before police arrived but was arrested at his home. He was charged with burglary, assault, criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned in Wilton Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
