Police: Man in Hudson shot himself in leg, crashed into van
A man in Hudson shot himself in the leg before crashing into a COARC van, police said.
It happened just after 1 p.m. Thursday, near 1st and Warren streets.
The 31-year-old man hit the van three times, said witnesses, then got out of his car and dumped the loaded gun down a sewer drain.
A police officer got the gun out of the drain.
The man is in stable condition at Albany Medical Center.
No one else was hurt. Charged are expected, police said.
