Police officer facing charges for sexually assaulting child
A police officer is facing charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a child.

23-year-old John Dizon of Cornwall is charged with predatory sexual assault against a child, criminal sex act, rape, and sexual abuse.
Dizon had sexual contact with a child last April in the town of Bethlehem, state police said.
At the time of the alleged rape, he was a UAlbany police officer.
He is currently a Newburgh police officer.
He was arrested on Friday and appeared in court for an arraignment on Saturday.
