Troy Police tell us there was a brief police presence in the area of 120th and 122th Streets Sunday morning.

Assistant Chief Steven Barker says police personnel responded to the area, where a community member reported observing a suspicious item outside.

He said out of an abundance of caution, police secured the immediate area surrounding the item, and a Troy PD K9 team was deployed to search for any hazards.

Police say it was determined that the item was non-hazardous, and police are clearing the area as of Sunday afternoon.
