Police: Queensbury man brought drugs into Washington County Jail

A Queensbury man has been arrested for allegedly trying to bring drugs into Washington County Jail.

Keith D. Powell, 73, allegedly bring narcotics into the jail on Wednesday, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Powell was charged with promoting prison contraband and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He was arraigned in Washington County Centralized Arraignment Court and released on his own recognizance. He is due in Fort Edward Town Court at a later date.

More charges are pending.
