Police respond to unfounded bomb threats

Police responded to reports in Schenectady of a man with a gun who was placing two pipe bombs in the area.
The call came in around 12:30 this afternoon, which brought police to Webster Street, between 7th Avenue and 8th Avenue. Police officers blocked off the area and several homes were evacuated. K-9 units searched the scene.
Officials determined the threat was not credible, and they do not believe it came from the area. Since, the scene has been cleared and the roadway, reopened.
