A Rexford man kicked in the back door of a home early Sunday morning, stole things inside and damaged a car, police said.

Allan Williams, 46, is also accused of threatening the homeowner by phone.

Williams was gone when police arrived, but arrested in Watervliet a short time later.

He’s now facing several charges, including burglary, grand larceny, criminal mischief and criminal contempt, and was released on his own recognizance.

The victim was not home at the time. They had an order of protection against Williams, police said.
