An inmate at the Saratoga County Jail is accused of assaulting a corrections officer.

Godfrey A. Waldron, 44, of Saratoga Springs injured the officer’s face on Dec. 4, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said. He was charged Monday with second-degree assault.

The officer was treated on scene by nursing staff, and taken to Malta Med Emergent Care.

Waldron was arraigned in Milton Town Court and sent back to Saratoga County Jail without bail. He’s due back in court at a later date.
