Police: Saratoga County man stole $1,000 from wallet he found

A 19-year-old Saratoga County man is accused of stealing money from a wallet at SUNY Adirondack.

Campus security had recovered a wallet and when they returned the wallet to is owner, there was $1,009 in cash missing.

An investigation determined that Nicholai R. Hayes, of Hadley, found the wallet on campus and removed the money.

Hayes was charged with felony grand larceny. He was released pending a future appearance in Queensbury Town Court.
