Police: Saratoga Springs man overdosed and crashed car with child inside
State Police have arrested a Saratoga Springs man for allegedly overdosing on drugs and crashing his vehicle with a child inside.
Troopers responded to the area of Cold Spring Road in Stillwater on March 2 at around 4 p.m. for a report of a car into a utility pole. The driver, later identified as Theodore B. Pamper, 32, was found unresponsive in the driver’s seat. Pamper was treated on scene by the trooper and EMS for a suspected overdose. He regained consciousness and was transported to Saratoga Hospital for further treatment, police said.
A child under the age of 15 was in the vehicle. They were not hurt.
Pamper was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child, driving while ability impaired by drugs, endangering the welfare of a child and other traffic violations. The child was turned over to a family member.
Further investigation determined that Pamper has a previous DWI conviction within the last 10 years.
He was issued tickets and is due in Stillwater Town Court on March 20.
