Police: Schenectady man had child pornography

A Schenectady man is accused of possessing child pornography.

State Police said Malachi X. Fennicks, 19, promoted and possessed images consistent with child exploitation. His arrest on Nov. 17 followed an investigation that stemmed from a cyber tip received by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Fennicks was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child. He was issued an appearance ticket and released. Fennicks is due in Schenectady City Court on Nov. 28.
