Police: Schenectady man had child pornography

State Police have arrested a Schenectady man for allegedly possessing child pornography.

Jordan Rai, 24, is accused of promoting and possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation. His arrest followed an investigation that stemmed from multiple cyber tips received by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Rai was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child. He was released on an appearance ticket and is due in Schenectady City Court on Dec. 5.
