James Wojtkowski, 42, began speaking on Facebook with the person he thought was a 14-year-old living in North Adams.
The suspect discussed performing sexual acts on the teen, sending them photos and made arrangements to meet her, investigators said.
When he arrived at the location to meet the teen, he was met by North Adams Police instead.
Wojtkowski was sent to jail on $25,000 bail. If he posts bail, he’s banned from contact with kids under 18, other than any kids or grandkids related biologically.
