Police: Two people had around 8 pounds of cocaine

Two people from Rensselaer County are accused of possessing around 8 pounds of cocaine.
State Police saw the pair walking in the area of State Street in Schenectady on March 11 around 9:30 p.m. Troopers interviewed Daval Byrams, 22, of Troy, and Angel M. Madera, 30, of Rensselaer, in connection with an ongoing drug investigation. Police found the drugs.
Both were charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. They were transported to Schenectady County Jail pending arraignment.
