NYRA is talking about some policies being changed at Saratoga Race Course for the Belmont Stakes.
No alcohol can be brought in during Belmont weekend. That policy reflects the rules at Belmont Park downstate.

However, some other rules are being relaxed for the event in a “nod to the history and tradition of the Saratoga Race Course.”

“Fans at the Belmont Stakes will be allowed to bring in coolers containing food and beverages, but no outside alcohol, and that’s a policy that will be in place throughout the four-day racing festival,” NYRA spokesperson Pat McKenna said.

The policy will not be in place for the 40-day summer meet at Saratoga Race Course.
The 156th Belmont Stakes is set for Saturday, June 8. The racing festival runs June 6 through June 9.
