Postal workers rally in Colonie

The Capital Region saw a public push for safety for local postal workers.

The American Postal Workers Union Local 390 held rally Friday in Colonie.
Postal workers say they frequently deal with abuse, as well as an unsafe and toxic work environment.
They also say the short staffing is leading to long waits – both in person and for deliveries.

Organizers say the rally was part of a nationwide campaign to stand up for dignity and respect.
