Public hearing set in Troy for birth center’s proposed closure

The proposed closing of Rensselaer County’s only maternity center will be the subject of a public meeting with the New York Attorney General’s Office on Monday.
Members of the public are welcome to give their opinions at Russell Sage College about closing the Burdett Birth Center in Troy.
The deadline to submit your name to speak was 5 p.m. on Friday.
However, written testimony will be accepted online through the time of the event, which is 1 p.m. on Monday.
