Public hearing to be held Sept. 18 over proposed closure of Troy birthing center

New York Attorney General Letitia James said her office will be holding a public hearing regarding the potential closure of the Burdett Birth Care Center in Troy.

It will take place September 18 at 1 p.m.

Members of the public are welcome to testify at Russell Sage College with their opinions on the facility.
Burdett Birth Care Center is the only birthing center in Rensselaer County.

People who wish to speak at the hearing must submit their testimony online by 5 p.m. on September 15.

Written testimonies will be accepted online through the time of the event.
