Public tribute for Dr. Alice Green set for Sept. 29
The Center for Law and Justice will host a tribute for Dr. Alice Green on Sept. 29.
The Center for Law and Justice and the New York State Writers Institute is keeping Dr. Alice Green’s name alive with an upcoming tribute.
Green passed away on Aug. 20 from cardiac arrest. The civil rights activist founded the Center for Law and Justice in 1985, which has been supporting disadvantaged families for nearly 40 years.
The center honored her pioneering advocacy for justice, equality and empowerment on Tuesday morning.
They announced a tribute taking place on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 4 p.m. at the Palace Theatre in Albany. Doors will open at 3 p.m.
The event will be free and open to the public.
