Queensbury man convicted in child sex assault case
A Queensbury man faces up to life in prison after a weeks-long trial ended with a jury finding him guilty of predatory sexual assault of a child.
According to the Warren County District Attorney’s Office, Jose Omar Agular Gomez now faces four felony charges.
Attorneys say the victim, who is under 11, showed tremendous courage while testifying in court against the 28-year-old man.
Gomez faces a minimum sentence of 10-years-to-life and a maximum of 25-years-to-life in prison.
He’s now in Warren County Jail, and is also being held in custody by U.S. Customs Enforcement.
