Queensbury Walmart shooting suspect back in court

The suspect in the Queensbury Walmart shooting was back in court Monday morning.

The shooting happened Nov. 27, in the parking lot of the store. It was a Sunday.

Adrian Simental is charged with attempted assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

He pleaded not guilty to both charges last Wednesday. NewsChannel 13’s Caitlin Irla was the only reporter in court.

According to court documents, Simental and the victim got into a fight, which led to Simental pulling out a handgun and shooting the victim in the lower stomach area.

Simental is being held in the Warren County Jail.
