The Albany Empire football team went up against the Orlando Predators for their home opener today, winning 70-33.

Kick off was at 2:30 p.m. but fans got a chance to interact with the new owner Antonio Brown before the game.

When Brown joined the Albany Empire in March, he was listed as a co-owner with Mike Kwarta, both owning 47.5%. When asked about his role as co-owner, Brown referred to himself as the owner, sparking some debate over if he is the sole owner.

“It feels special as an owner to see the support in the community of the people here that are a part of it today,” he said. “I’m just excited to represent everyone as one today and provide the community with some excitement.”

Earlier this month, Brown caught then head coach Tom Menas by surprise when he fired the two time championship coach.
