More than 100 New Yorkers rallied on Monday to support a project they say would create and protect thousands of jobs.

Union members, backstretch workers, small business owners,
veterinarians, trainers, and other New Yorkers joined lawmakers for a rally at the Capitol supporting the project to modernize Belmont Park on Long Island.

They say the project would create 3,700 construction jobs, more than 700 new full-time jobs – and have benefits right here in the Capital Region.
