Union leaders joined lawmakers at UAlbany on Friday, in a cry for help. They’re calling for an end to cutting classes and raising tuition.

Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan was also there. She says she’s pushing for more investment into the school because of the long-term benefits to the city.

The union, United University Professions, says UAlbany faces a projected $15 million deficit.
Empire State College’s deficit is projected at $6.9 million.
