To kick off National Blood Donor Month this January, CEOs from the Capital Region are joining the American Red Cross in the third annual Capital Region Blood Challenge.

The campaign will highlight the need for blood and encourage donors.

The challenge will be held as a series of blood drives from Jan. 2 through Jan. 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at the Red Cross on Everett Road in Albany.

The goal will be to collect more than 132 units of blood over the four days.
