Rensselaer County DA: Man pleads guilty for forcing sexual conduct
Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly says that Travis Anderson pled guilty on Thursday to first-degree criminal sexual act, which is a class B violent felony.
Anderson admitted that he subjected the victim to oral sexual conduct by forcible compulsion in 2022.
Donnelly says him and the victim were previously in an intimate relationship.
The District Attorney’s Office says Anderson is scheduled to be sentenced on December 12, where he will receive a seven-year sentence of incarceration, followed by ten years of post-release supervision.
Donnelly released a statement regarding the matter: “Assistant District Attorney Antonia Edwards worked closely with the Rensselear County Sheriff’s Office, who investigated the matter, to bring this case to a grand jury. The New York State Police Computer Crimes Unit analyzed several electronic items and created reports that helped corroborate the victim’s timeline.”
Assistant District Attorney Antonia Edwards prosecuted the case for the District Attorney’s Office.
