A community activist is suing Albany Medical Center.
According to the Times Union, court documents show Jamaica Miles was hired and let go three weeks later.
Dr. Dennis McKenna, the hospital’s president and CEO, was upset that Miles was previously arrested for her role in a 2021 Black Lives Matter rally in Saratoga Springs, the paper reported.
Two employees involved with the hiring were also suspended.
The hospital spokesperson has declined to comment on the lawsuit so far.
