Report: Pittsfield, cannabis dispensary could be near lawsuit settlement
Pittsfield could be looking to settle a lawsuit with a cannabis dispensary.
Lawyers for the city are scheduled to meet with Bloom Brothers on Friday.
The dispensary sued the city over what it says are unlawful community impact fees, NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Berkshire Eagle reported.
Those fees are used to reimburse towns for any public safety or other expenses that might come with the newly-legal sales of marijuana.
A possible settlement would likely include Pittsfield paying back some of the $110,000 it received from Bloom Brothers.
