Robbery suspect accused of knocking victim unconscious
Man charged with robbery in Albany assault
An Albany man knocked someone unconscious and stole their wallet, police said.
It happened around 8 p.m. Sunday near the Salvation Army on Clinton Avenue.
The victim was hit in the face and head, investigators said.
Daniel-Dyel Thomas, 22, was arrested a short time later at Washington and North Hawk Street, and charged with second-degree robbery. He knew the victim, police said.
Thomas was due in Albany City Court Monday morning.
