Rotterdam man faces drug, weapons charges

A Rotterdam man is facing drug and weapons charges after a traffic stop.

State Police stopped Michael M. Intelisano Jr., 26, on Sept. 19 at about 12:10 a.m. in the area of State Street in Schenectady for a traffic violation.

Police said Intelisano did not have a valid driver’s license. His vehicle matched the description of a vehicle in multiple thefts from gas stations. He was taken into custody.

Police also found felony-weight narcotics, an illegally possessed loaded handgun, a high capacity magazine and drug paraphernalia, according to a news release.

Intelisano was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. He was transported to the Schenectady County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
